The Battlefield 6 system requirements are official, at least for the upcoming open beta. Although these specs are still entirely subject to change as we move ever closer to release, they very closely mirror the Battlefield Labs specs we spotted earlier in the week.
Battlefield 6 is set to be one of the biggest games of 2025, and while we wait for the official PC specs, we’ve been given a set for the upcoming open beta. The good news? If these specs do end up being somewhat close to what is needed to run Battlefield 6 come release day, you’re not going to require one of the best graphics card picks from our buying guide to start playing.
The Battlefield 6 system requirements are as follows:
Minimum | Recommended | |
OS | N/A | N/A |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Intel Arc A380 |
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Intel B580 |
VRAM | 6GB | 8GB (Nvidia) 12GB (AMD) |
CPU | Intel Core i5 8400 AMD Ryzen 5 2600 |
Intel Core i7 10700 AMD Ryzen 7 3700X |
RAM | 16GB Dual-channel 2,122MHz |
16GB Dual-channel 3,200MHz |
Storage | 75GB | 75GB |
Notes | Storage is estimated for launch | SSD Recommended Storage is estimated for launch |
The Battlefield 6 minimum requirements are on par with what we expect from most modern 3D games in 2025. You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT paired with an Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and 16GB of RAM. According to the performance targets set out by EA, these specs will net you 30fps at 1080p using the low graphical preset.
Nothing about these specs raises any cause for concern, even the fact that the specs start at an RTX 2060 isn’t too alarming, as this was a budget GPU even at the time of release, so it shouldn’t be hard to surpass, provided your gaming PC or laptop is only a few years old.
As for the Battlefield 6 recommended specs, you’ll need an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card alongside an Intel Core i7 10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU. The RAM requirement sticks at 16GB.
Again, these aren’t intimidating specs for the recommended tier. According to the performance targets, these specs will either get you 60fps at 1440p on the high graphical preset, or 80fps+ at 1080p on the low graphics preset.
The Battlefield 6 download size is currently estimated at 75GB for launch, although the Steam store page lists two varying amounts across the minimum and recommended specs, which is quite confusing.
Either way, you’re going to want the best SSD from our helpful buying guide to run the game on, even if it isn’t explicitly required. You’ll enjoy shorter in-game loading times as well as a small performance boost in comparison to old-school hard drives.
